Jewish Family & Childrens Service Family Table of the North Shore

Hours of service and information for clients:
Participants receive groceries including fresh produce, dairy, protein rich foods, personal hygiene products, and Jewish holiday and ritual items such as challah. Family Table of the North Shore strives to promote healthy eating and collaborates closely with JF&CS Nutrition Services. The program distributes food once a month. Donation Needs:
Family Table of the North Shore’s Most Needed Items: • Whole grain cereal • Whole grain crackers • Brown rice • Vegetarian soup • Toilet Paper Only valid expiration dates, please. A monetary donation of any size is greatly appreciated and will help the families in need. Checks can be made payable to JF&CS Family Table. Volunteer Needs:
- Families, including young children, can volunteer for just a few hours once a year or on a monthly basis. Either way, children experience hands-on tzedakah and truly come to understand that they can make a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.
- Volunteers are needed on a monthly basis on "distribution days" to help set up the pantry, sort and package food donations, and then deliver to recipients. This monthly distribution can be a 1-3 hour commitment.
- Children are welcome to volunteer when accompanied by an adult. To volunteer, please contact Tamar Moskowitz, Volunteer and Food Coordinator, 781-693-5593.
