St. Stephen's Food Pantry
A pantry distributing emergency food free to anyone with legitimate photo id. We give away identical bags of largely canned or dry goods to individuals and slightly larger bags (about 20%) to legitimately-identified families (adults with resident children under 16).
Hours of service and information for clients:
3 to 4pm on Friday, except for the first Friday of each month.
Donation Needs:
Any donations received are used to purchase food at a large discount from the Greater Boston Food Bank.
Volunteer Needs:
We have a core group of 5 faithful baggers, a person who picks the food each week and brings it up from our downstairs food pantry to the upstairs food pantry for packing. We have a person who manages the door, bringing people inside. We have a person who takes the names and reviews the identification documents and cards.
